A unique opportunity is now with you to secure a rare pastel on paper by Armstrong Sperry (1897-1976) with this charming depiction of a tranquil Waikiki scene entitled Afternoon in Ala Moana Park. Dated c. 1920, this vintage depiction is of people enjoying an afternoon under one of the large banyan trees in Ala Moana Park, Honolulu. A subtle color palette lends warmth to the scene and portrays a quiet, relaxing afternoon in the park. Sperry was predominantly an American writer and an illustrator while his brother just happened to be the inventor of the shoe line called Sperry Topsider.
